Description
31" (79 cm.) l. x 14"h x 16"d. The wooden framed
store has original cream painted finish with gold
accents to simulate architectural details,with
attached front railing having metal grill work and
window boxes. The back wall has built in
shelves,upper railing for display,center display
niche and window cabinets at each side. The floor
and wall paper are original,and there is a
free-standing matching counter. The shop is
lavishly-filled with wonderful pastries and baked
goods,most on their original wooden pedestal cake
stands,and a rare three-tiered wooden etagere on
the counter holds more pastries. There are two
tables and chairs for customers to take tea as
they gaze out over the window boxes. Other
furnishings include: pair of gilded metal oil
lamps,wooden wall rack filled with miniature
newspapers and menu cards,framed prints including
advertising scene for Stollwerck's Chocolates,coat
rack,samovar,tin "Eismachine" and cash register
with rare attached paper roll. A blonde-haired
store keeper stands behind the counter. Excellent
condition. Germany,circa 1900.
