20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig in upswept manner, cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed lady body with shapely bosom and waist. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 9 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1886. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque and painting, original wig, lady body, and wearing original couturier costume comprising matching undergarments with extended train, and ivory silk gown of elaborate construction, signed Jumeau shoes.
