Description
20" (51 cm.) Hard plastic socket head,sleep eyes,lashes,tosca hair with curly bangs and cluster
of curls at her nape,seven-piece adult-lady-shaped body. She is wearing an elaborate
costume of Ice Capades comprising full-length gown of stiffened tulle whose bodice is entirely
encrusted with silver and ruby sequins,and rays of sequins falling into the skirt,and white
rhinestone accents over all the skirt,hooped tulle petticoat,petal-accented shoes,with
elaborate crown featuring magnificent faux-ruby stones,faux-diamonds,and pearls,with
velvet bow and wonderful ruby feathers,faux-diamond earrings,fancy necklace and two
bracelets to match the ensemble. Excellent condition,complexion a bit darkened. Alexander
doll,commissioned by Ice Capades and authentically-costumed in a miniature replica of a
skater's costume for that year,c. 1960,an outstanding model of the very rare series,probably
one-of-a-kind.
