15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-lined
bisque shoulder plate,blue glass paperweight inset
eyes with spiral threading,thick dark
eyeliner,painted curly lashes,mauve-blushed eye
shadow,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
tiny-defined tongue tip,original lambswool wig
over cork pate,kid bebe body with square cut
collarette,gusset-jointing at hips,knees and
elbows,bisque forearms and hands. Condition:
generally excellent,restored left thumb and
forefinger. Marks: A,5 T. (head) A.T. (right
shoulder) 5 (left shoulder). Comments: Andre
Thuillier,circa 1880,his earliest period bebe made
for two or three years only in very small
exclusive numbers; few exist today. Value Points:
gorgeous early A.T. with splendid
bisque,complexion,painting and eyes,original
wig,original body,very beautiful hands,and wearing
superb blue silk dress and matching bonnet with
lace trim,undergarments,earrings,knit
stockings,black leather shoes with brown silk
rosettes signed "A.T. 5".
