Description
4" (10 cm.) The firm-sided purse-shaped necessaire
folds flat and closes with impressed brass
clasp,has bail handle formed of the same silk
twill,and is decorated with brown silk fringe. The
necessaire opens to a blue silk-lined interior
that contains needles,an embossed gilt
scissors,and two additional sewing tools with bone
handles. The necessaire is preserved in its
original white box. Circa 1860
