Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,elongated facial model with plump cheeks and throat,small cobalt blue glass enamel eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils of aquiline nose,tiny closed mouth with center accent line,ears pierced into head,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid gusset-jointed body with stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent,few patches on limbs. Comments: French,circa 1860. Value Points: rare model with portrait like face,dramatic blue eyes,great presence,wearing original ice blue silk suit with fringe trim and elaborate overskirt,undergarments,blue velvet bonnet,stockings,leather ankle boots in the Huret style (unsigned),bone-handled silk parasol,and bone folding fan.
