14" (36 cm.) h. x 28"l. x 12"d. The one-room wooden store has display windows at each side front that are hinged and allow the windows to swing open for easy play,built-in shelving,counters,nine spice drawers at the back and three at the side waist-high counter,hinged back door with ribbed-framing and stenciled design to simulate paneling,side window,original free-standing counter. The store has its original yellow and brown painted finish to simulate wood,faux-wood grain finish on the drawers with gilt accents and paper food labels,and there are decoupage medallions on the two front panels. Food supplies and contains are arranged throughout and an early tinplate scale is on the counter. Germany,Christian Hacker,the store has original Hacker insignia stamp and "337" on the underside,circa 1880. Excellent condition,some rubs and fading but painted and decorative finishes are original throughout. Ex-collection Landsberg Dollhouse Museum of Germany.
