14" (36 cm.) h. 4" shoulders. To fit 17"-18" slim-bodied lady doll. A beautiful brown cotton print with tiny flowers forms into a gown with very full upper sleeves that taper to narrow wrists,fitted bodice,full skirt with cartridge pleats,self-cording. With a silk green/black textured apron,and with a woven bonnet with upturned front and back brims known as "A Deux Bonjours" (two hellos,pleasing coming and going) designed to accommodate woven braids at the back of head. French,circa 1850. Excellent condition,the bonnet is superb with woven braid rattan and rose silk and black velvet trim.
