Description
14"(36 cm.) Of fine wood with superb rosewood
burled veneers,the secretaire has a hidden drawer
at the top,above a hinged desk surface with bone
inlay keyhole (key included),and above a lower
compartment with hinged doors opening to a shelved
interior. There are ebony black columns at the
sides and ebony ball feet; niches are constructed
behind the writing platform. Superb craftsmanship
includes matched veneers,dove-tailed
construction,and fitted door assembly. Excellent
condition. French,circa 1850.
