19"(48 cm.) h. x 36"l. x 15"d. The wooden
grocery,with honey-toned natural finish,features
two removable front panels with elaborate column
and arch architectural details,glass windows,and
workable tambour shutters. The interior has
built-in framed mirrors at each side wall,12 food
and spice drawers that center an arched display
niche with decorative columns,and with shelving at
each side. There is a matching free-standing
counter with unusual rounded corners and ribbed
pilaster trim,and railed balcony across the top
with ladder access. The floor has original marbled
paper cover,and the store is furnished with an
early scale,a number of good food
stuffs,tins,contains,and more. Excellent
condition. Germany,attributed to Christian
Hacker,circa 1890,superb architectural detail and
rare tambour window shutters.
