20" (51 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, kid gusset-jointed bebe body with hip and knee jointing, one-piece curved upper arms, bisque lower arms, lovely costume. Condition: generally excellent, restoration on right hand, light nose rub. Marks: 8 (head and shoulder). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his first period bebe, circa 1878. Value Points: especially beautiful face with fine artistic painting, original body is remarkably sturdy.
