7" (18 cm.) armoire. 16" x 11" box. A heavy card stock box with red paper box has gilt lettering on the lid "Chambre a Coucher" and contains the original bedroom ensemble within,of lightwood with applied embossed gilt paper trimsd,comprising canopy bed with original rose sateen curtains and bed covered with lace trim and gilt edging,mirror front armoire with rose velvet ribbon edging the mirror,turtle-top pedestal table,three drawer chest,and two side chairs and two arm chairs each with original rose sateen upholstery and fringe. Near mint condition. French,circa 1890.
