Description
11" (28 cm.) h. doll. 13" overall length. A bisque
headed doll with brown glass paperweight inst
eyes,painted lashes and brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with accented lips,pierced
ears,mohair wig,cork pate,carton torso,hinged
carton legs,metal rod upper arms,bisque
forearms,antique costume,is attached to a wooden
peddler's cart with two spoked metal wheels. When
wound,the doll "walks" forward,pulling the cart
behind her. Condition: excellent
condition,functions well. Marks: F. 1 G. (head).
Comments: Roullet & Decamps,circa 1888 with
block-letter Gaultier bisque head. Value Points:
an especially beautiful face on the charming
mechanical vignette doll.
