21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head with very high domed forehead,brown glass sleep eyes,painted dark lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,slightly-parted lips with four porcelain teeth barely visible,pierced ears,brunette human hair wig,Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists,antique costume,undergarments,stockings,shoes and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent,wig pulls at the left side forehead. Marks: 1019 S H 8 1/2 dep. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1890. Value Points: rare-to-find early model with wonderfully-expressive smile,enhanced by deeply impressed dimples in cheeks and chin.
