41" (104 cm.) Paper mache swivel head with sculpted and painted facial features,blue upper glancing eyes,darker grey outer rims,black upper eyeliner,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with primly-set lips,blonde mohair wig in bobbed fashion,stockinette-cloth body with elongated stitch-joined limbs,wearing antique white dress,undergarments,leather shoes. Condition: very good,typical paint scuffs,body dustiness. Marks: Dora Petzold Germany (three stamps on body) (shoes also stamped Dora Petzold). Comments: from the studio workshop of Berlin artist,Dora Petzold,circa 1920. Value Points: very rare to find doll in grand exhibition size,with original finish,albeit scuffed,and wearing very rare shoes signed by the artist.
