Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass eyes, painted lower lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four teeth, brunette mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 60 Paris 8/0. Comments: Bleuette from Gautier-Langereau's La Semaine de Suzette, circa 1915. Value Points: especially pretty example, the doll is wearing ivory silk and lace wedding ensemble in the 1908 style, of antique fabrics with lavish embroidery featuring French knots and satin and stem stitching, the costume made by Louise Hedrick and featured in her book Bleuette Clothing Patterns, 1905-1916.
