Description
13" (33 cm.) h. x 30"l. x 13"d. The wooden
two-room house has flat-pillared front and three
windows with hinged openings,original wooden
curtain valances and original decorative wall and
floor boards with ogee-shaped wooden ceiling
edges. There is an opening paneled door between
the rooms which are furnished with rare
Biederemeier pieces having gilt-stenciled accents
and faux-bone edging,including drop-front
desk,chest,pedestal table,large armoire marble-top
table,various chairs,and a fitted sewing table.
The room has a collection of eight different
clocks,various ormolu pieces including album frame
and easel,wall prints and mirrors,silver and
porcelain accessories,beaded early candelabra,and
various dollhouse people including a moustached
gentleman who is likely the clock collector.
Excellent condition,one piece of trim missing.
Germany,the room is by Christian Hacker,and has
model number 278/00 on the underside. Circa 1890.
