Composition head with sculpted ears and plump cheeks,painted creamy complexion with brown-shaded ears,painted side-glancing googly eyes with long curly lashes,dot brows,tiny "O" shaped mouth with painted freckles and whiskers,muslin five-piece body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Peter Rabbit,Quaddy,Pat. Jan. 30,1917 (red silk banner on chest). Comments: Quaddy Playthings created Peter Rabbit pull-toys and this doll based upon the Harrison Cady illustrations of Peter Rabbit; the doll was illustrated and advertised in 1917 with the message "what better could you suggest to your customer as an Easter Present?".
