14" (36 cm.) h. x 12" x 11". Of finerosewood with
inlay striping,thecabinet front door hinges open
to reveal a shelved interior containing thirteen
9" x 11" samplecards with textured finish in
various colors and gilt edging. Each samplecard
has a specimen of needlework along with a
calligraphy lettered card describing thework being
shown. Included areseveral items sized for usewith
a doll,including
"Mitaine,CapelineBlague","CamisolePoint
Anglais","ModeledeChemise",and "Chaussons au
Crochet". Theworkmanship is superb,as thesamples
represented theneedlework skills of a young lady.
Excellent condition,thecabinet has original
key,and thecards arebeautifully preserved.
