glass inset eyes,painted black brows and
lashes,closed mouth,black fleecy wig over cork
pate,brown kid body with
gusset-jointing,kid-over-wooden upper arms,brown
bisque arms to above the elbows,wearing fine early
bronze green silk gown,undergarments,woven bonnet.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: G. 1 P.
Comments: the maker with initials G.P. is cited in
Theimer's The Encyclopedia of French Dolls
although unidentified to date,circa 1865. Value
