16" (41 cm.) Sculpted composition or paper
machesocket head depicting a young
lad,blondesculpted hair with detailed bangs and
combed behind thedefined ears,brown painted
eyes,defined eyeliner and brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth with very full pouting
lips,defined chin,composition and wooden
ball-jointed body,original brown velvet suit with
chain belt,knit stockings,brown leather shoes.
Condition: generally excellent,nosetip rub,finish
on legs worn. Comments: a prototypemodel of Kammer
and Reinhardt's 102 art-reform doll,Carl,is madein
themanner of Marion Kaulitz dolls. It is known
that K*R was highly influenced by thegreat success
of theKaulitz 1908 exhibit in Munich and likely
theK*R sculptor Lewin-Funckedetermined to createa
prototypeor experimental version of his bisque102
model in thesamematerial; thedoll has no
connection with Marion Kaulitz other than that.
Oneother exampleof this doll is known (Theriault's
auction,January 1998,#7),also 16",as well as a
prototypemodel of the106 character. ValuePoints:
