paperweight inset eyes,thick dark
eyeliner,lushly-painted lashes,rose blushed eye
shadow,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed
mouth with defined space between the shaded and
outlined lips,separately-applied pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French
composition and wooden fully-jointed body with
plump limbs and straight wrists,antique costume
features a cotton dress with richly-embroidered
ruffles at the yoke,sleeves and
skirt,undergarments,woven socks,shoes,lace ruffled
bonnet,and wooden-handled silk parasol. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Depose E. 13 J (and
artist checkmarks) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris
(body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1884,the
first deposed model bebe by Jumeau bearing his
signature initials. Value Points: gorgeous bebe
with luminous eyes and beautiful bisque and
painting,original wig,body,body finish,and fine
antique costume.
