13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of adult woman with slender oval face turned to the side, brown sculpted hair loosely waved around her face and captured in a coiled bun at the back, with painted blue hair band, deeply-set enamel eyes, slightly-parted lips with row of teeth, modeled bosom, tow-wrapped armature posable body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, blue stockings, yellow painted clogs, wearing original silk costume with interwoven gilt details and metallic braid edging, matching cap fitted to bun. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
