Description
25" (64 cm.) l. 23"h. of canopy. The superb bed of
mahogany and rosewood has a high canopy with
curved wood frame,footboard with pineapple-shaped
carved finials,and is decorated with bronze
borders and trim including two figural designs of
ladies at the foot board corners. The bed has its
original wooden supports and mattress with antique
linens and lace cover. The paper label of the
luxury Parisian decorative arts store,Maison
Giroux,is on the underside. French,circa 1870.
Excellent condition,outstanding cabinetry work of
maitrise quality with finest exotic woods and cast
