12" (30 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket head,short
brown sculpted curly hair with sculpted blue
ribbon band and grand bow at the crow,painted
facial features with downcast eyelids,white
eyedots,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed
mouth with accent line between the lips,impressed
lip corners,composition and wooden ball-jointed
body,lovely antique dress,undergarments,shoes and
stockings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
Heubach (square) 7865 Germany. Comments: Gebruder
Heubach,circa 1910,a larger size of the model was
also commissioned by Emil Bauersachs and released
as the "Jubilee Doll" in 1913 to celebrate the
100th anniversary of the German liberation from
France. Value Points: rare model in wonderful
petite size,with exemplary
bisque,characterization,painting.
