Two Early German Miniature Paper Mache Dolls in Carriages

6"(15 cm.) larger. Each is a woven wicker or straw carriage,the smaller with tightly woven design,stick handle and four painted yellow wooden wheels; and the larger with open weave,push handle and three wheels. Each contains a very simple paper mache doll in seated pose with outstretched arms,having printed cotton blanket wrapped around. Germany,mid-19th century,charming and original simple penny toys of the era.
