complexion,amber brown glass paperweight inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,black
brush-stroked brows,closed mouth with coral-shaded
lips,pierced ears,black fleecy mohair wig over
cork pate,French black composition and wooden
fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Paris BebeTeteDepose3 (incised
mark). Comments: Danel & Cie,circa
1890,theshort-lived firm was established by
AnatoleDanel after leaving theJumeau firm,and its
entiredoll series was based upon bebes that
closely resembled theJumeau bebe; a lawsuit ensued
with Jumeau who accused Danel of copying his
doll,and Danel was forced to closehis company
after only oneor two years of production,leading
