Description
16" (41 cm.) Art-plaster sculpted head of adult lady with oval head tilted to the side an upward, long slender throat and modeled bosom, heavily-lidded eyes with very narrow eyes, white mohair wig in soft curls, shapely cloth body, bisque arms, composition lower legs in fashionable pose, taffeta gown with aqua ribbons. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Coco/ Baitz (incised on back shoulderplate). Comments: Lilly Baitz, circa 1920, from a series of fashionable lady’s sculpted by the artist and produced in her own studios; it is uncertain if the dolls were designed to represented particular persons. Value Points: her very superior demeanor is achieved by most artistic sculpting.
