17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and
oil-painted facial features,brown hair with
swirled curl onto forehead,painted brown eyes with
spiral threading and white eye dots,black upper
eyeliner,brown eye shadow,closed mouth with
outlined pouting lips,stitch-jointed
shoulders,separately-stitched thumb,disc-jointed
hips,brown flannel trousers,tan felt woolen
jacket,flannel cap,knit scarf and leggings,tan
leather laced shoes. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse (right foot,and
illegible numbers on left foot). Comments: Kathe
Kruse,circa 1915,type I model. Value Points:
beautiful complexion enhances the wistful
expression on the early character doll.
