23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head with amber
complexion,brown glass sleep eyes in narrow almond
shape,black painted lashes and brows with
feathered highlights,accented nostrils,open
mouth,four porcelain teeth,pierced ears,blonde
mohair wig in very elaborate upswept coiffure with
decorative combs,amber-tinted composition and
wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Simon & Halbig Germany 1329.
Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1900,from their
rare series of exotic dolls. Value Points: rare
larger size of the model with superb bisque and
complexion,fine original wig,and superb antique
silk costume with rich embroideries.
