Description
17" (43 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and
painted facial features,brown side-glancing eyes
with grey eye shadow,accented nostrils,closed
mouth with accented lower lip,brunette bobbed
wig,jointed felt arms and legs. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (two original
paper labels,one labeled 300/1 with patent dates).
Comments: Lenci,model 300/1,circa 1926,the doll
was shown in their annual catalog,and was
apparently the second model of the 300 series.
Value Points: beautifully-preserved doll and
costume,with vibrantly-colored felt sweater and
cap trimmed with blue,green and cream felt patches
and a large blue pom-pom to match the blue felt
pants,knit woolen mittens,scarf and leggings,and
leather lace shoes with attached skate blades.
