Description
9" (23 cm.) Hidden inside a papier-mache cabbage
with fabric cabbage leaves is a bisque-head doll
with blue glass eyes,painted features,closed
mouth,wearing a white fur bunny costume with
hinged bunny ears. When wound,music plays,and the
bunny slowly peeks out and raises up,twirling
around and moving its ears back and forth.
Condition: generally excellent,mechanism and music
function well,bisque excellent,some fabric
spotting on cabbage leaves. Marks: R&D (key).
Comments: Roullet & Decamps,circa 1900. Value
Points: delight automaton with story-tale like
action,fine quality bisque.
