Description
14" (36 cm.) A carved wooden man with very
muscular body is posed as though ready to conduct
his strong man performance,his arms posed behind
his back,with painted red shorts and black laced
shoes,with separately-carved socket head having
defined center-part,painted and carved facial
features including high curled brows and curly
moustache,mouth carved with open "O". When
wound,he casually turns his head side to side and
"whistles" in a mellow,insouciant manner.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Griesbaum,Germany,early 20th century. Value
Points: rare to find character from their
delightful series,with well-functioning whistle.
