Description
11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with painted
light brown boyish hair,intaglio blue eyes,painted
facial features,"O" shaped hole at center of
lips,muslin torso with bellows,disc-jointed muslin
legs,composition arms,antique costume. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (in square)
Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,when tummy is
squeezed,he emits a little whistle,the doll was
marketed as "Whistling Jim",circa 1912. Value
Points: wonderful model with original body,along
with his own antique papier-mache squeak toy,the
clown sticks his tongue in and out when his tummy
is squeezed.
