Description
4" (10 cm.) h. half doll. 9"w. box. Porcelain half
doll with pink-tinted complexion depicts a nude
lady with arms curved at the elbows and
outstretched,elegantly curled fingers,head turned
to the side,with sculpted grey hair arranged in
chignon with ringlet curls at each ear and
decorated with a coronet of roses; the doll is
attached to her original oval dresser box
decorated with silk flowers to match her hair
decoration. Condition: generally excellent,some
fraility to silk of box. Comments: Germany,circa
1910. Value Points: rare original arrangement,the
doll has exquisite painting detail of facial
features,her eyes hauntingly dramatic.
