14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with amber-tinted
complexion,highly-characterized features with
upper-side-slanted brown glass eyes,painted black
lashes and feathered brows,accented nostrils,open
mouth,four porcelain teeth,pierced ears,black
mohair wig in upswept fashion,amber-tinted
composition and wooden ball-jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 1129
Germany Dep 4 1/2. Comments: Simon and
Halbig,circa 1890. Value Points: a rarer model
from the firm's exotic series has superb sculpting
and bisque,original body and body finish,and
wearing red silk costume with embroidered
crane,trousers,shoes,and elaborate early
papier-mache crown with rhinestone trim.
