17" (43 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and
painted facial features,brown side-glancing eyes
with grey eye shadow,curly upper lashes,accented
nostrils,closed mouth,brown curly mohair wig in
short boyish style,jointing at shoulders and hips.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci
(feet). Comments: Lenci,circa 1930,from the 300
series,the boy is wearing traditional costume of
the Italian Fascist Youth Movement of that era
comprising black jacket with felt-covered buttons
and silk sleeve insignia,blue felt tie,black cap
with tassel and brass pin,grey felt shorts,grey
woolen leggings,leather laced shoes. Value Points:
rare model is wonderfully-preserved,costume
includes the rare hat pin.
