shape and plump cheeks and chin,blue glass enamel
inset eyes with darker-blue iris rims,dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
accented lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair
wig,cork pate,French composition and wooden
eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists
and flat-cut derriere,wearing antique sailor
costume and cap with gilt label
"L'Eclair",stockings,shoes. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Bte SGDG 2/0 (head) Sch (in
shield,derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa
1878. Value Points: earliest period bebe with
beautiful bisque,painting and expressive
features,original body and body finish.
