painted facial features,flirty brown glass googly
eyes,brown painted curly upper
lashes,brows,rounded nose,"O" shaped mouth with
shaded lips,black mohair wig with topknot captured
in black felt coiffe and braided silk
ribbon,muslin torso,jointed felt arms and legs.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (two
paper and cloth labels). Comments: Lenci,the glass
googly model was introduced in 1936 and made for
three years only,this model has pencil label
"Fobello",indicating that it represents a child
from Fobello,a region north of Turin,Italy. Value
Points: rare and delightful googly with vibrant
crisp colors,lovely cheek blush,wearing fresh
original felt costume with wonderful matching
embroidery and pom-poms on the apron and boots.
