18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and
oil-painted facial features and complexion,blue
eyes with black upper eyeliner,single-stroke
brows,accented nostrils of rounded nose,closed
mouth,brunette mohair bobbed wig,muslin body with
stitch-jointing. Condition: generally
excellent,few minor rubs on face. Comments:
Kamkins,made in the Atlantic City studios of Louis
Kampes,circa 1930s,the dolls were importantly
presented in fashionable young girl styles of the
era. Value Points: rare-to-find American doll,in
fine original condition,with original
dress,matching romper,golden plush flannel coat
with brown faux-lambswool collar,and matching
cloche,wool stockings,brown shoes.
