18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, delicately-painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, rounded nose tip, closed mouth with daintily-set lips, decorative glaze on lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: Simon & Halbig S&H IV (head) Heinrich Handwerck (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910. Value Points: the rarity of the model is rivaled by its compelling expression, finest bisque with glowing patina.
