Description
16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll with center-seam
stitch-shaped face,elongated face with pronounced
nose,large black shoe-button eyes backed with blue
felt to suggest blue eyes,printed
ears,brows,nostrils and mouth,embroidered
moustache in reddish-brown worsted wool to match
his hair,muslin stitch-jointed body with sewn-on
striped red and white stockings and black shoes.
Condition: very good,few tiny fabric tears,water
spotting on face. Comments: Percy Policeman,by
Volland,1931,inspired by his appearance in the
book,Beloved Belindy. Value Points: rare model
wearing his original blue cotton policemanÞs
costume with tiny brass "buttons",yellow felt
badge,buckle,billy club and band on blue felt helmet.
