Description
14" (36 cm.) Each has oil cloth face with printed
facial features,small notched black pupils set on
very large eye whites with three lower
lashes,triangle nose with printed stitch
outline,smiling lips with red center,red worsted
wool hair,muslin stitch-jointed body with sewn-on
green plaid torso and blue polka dot stockings and
blue shoes. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: possibly "Buddy" and "Sis" by American
Toy and Novelty of Philadelphia,circa 1940s. Value
Points: the well-preserved pair wear their
original costumes of yellow pants or skirt,polka
dot ruffled collar,he with whimsical stars and
stripes cap.
