18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with black shoe-button
eyes on printed eye white,red accents at eye
corners,four lashes under each eye,large red
triangle nose with no outline,thin line smile with
oval red center,rosy cheeks,red worsted wool
hair,stitch-jointed body with very narrow red and
white striped sewn-on stockings,black shoes.
Condition: near mint. Marks: (the doll,hang
tag,and box all bear the labels of Georgene
Novelties with 1918 and 1920 copyright dates by
Johnny Gruelle). Comments: Georgene
Novelties,circa 1940. Value Points: pristine
condition with rare early stockings,wearing his
original costume,bow tie and cap,with original
hang-tag and in his original box.
