12" (30 cm.) (excluding ears). Of brown mohair
with a rounded head,two facial seams,black
embroidered nose and mouth,brown glass eyes with
black pupils,up-standing mohair ears with felt
lining,mohair hands,chubby muslin torso and
limbs,sewn-on black felt shoes,attached felt
costume comprising sienna jacket,golden vest with
brass buttons,white shirt,tie,green trousers,black
derby hat with red band. Condition: generally
excellent,very slight costume fading. Marks: "I am
a Volland Doll,My name is Sunny Bunny,The P.F.
Volland Co,Joliet,Ill. Made in USA" (paper hang
tag). Comments: Sunny Bunny was designed by Johnny
Gruelle,from a character appearing in his
storybook tales,this being the second
version,circa 1931. Value Points: rare and
delightful design,beautifully-preserved,this exact
bunny appears in Andrew TabbatÞs "The World of
Raggedy Ann and Andy",
