paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted dark
curly lashes,brush-stroked strongly-defined
brows,accented nostrils,open mouth,shaded and
outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette human hair
antique wig over cork pate,French composition and
wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 10 (head) Bebe Jumeau Diplome
dÞHonneur (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa
1899,the military costumed doll was depicted in a
series of publicity postcards that Jumeau created
for the Paris Exposition LÞUniverselle of 1899.
Value Points: the doll is wearing his rare
original military costume including
helmet,carrying a miniature French flag,and has
his original Bebe Jumeau silk banner on sleeve.
