Description
13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted military helmet having finial and gold embossed eagle over brown tendrils of hair, blue glass side-glancing googly eyes, painted lashes and brows, slightly-open mouth with smiling expression, dimpled chin, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, flannel costume and boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep Elite D 1. Comments: Max Handwerck, circa 1917. Value Points: whimsical expression enhanced by fine luminous bisque.
