19" (48 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque shoulder plate,large brown glass inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined
lips,pierced ears,brunette human hair hand-knotted
wig in ornate coiffure,kid poupee body with
shapely torso,gusset-jointing,stitched and
separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 7 (head and shoulder plate,and artist
checkmarks on head). Comments: Jumeau,circa 1875.
Value Points: very beautiful poupee with
dramatically-large eyes contrasting a shy
expression,lovely bisque,very sturdy original body
with white cotton day dress,undergarments,lace
gloves,stockings,rose kidskin ankle boots signed C.M.
