20" (51 cm.) Papier-mache shoulder head of adult lady with perfectly oval face and elongated throat,tiny black glass enamel inset eyes,painted lashes,arched feathered brows,closed mouth with accent line between the lips,ears pierced into head,original brunette human hair hand-tied wig over black painted pate,very firm upper torso with shapely bosom and waist,slender kid lower torso and legs,kid arms with stitched and separated fingers. Condition: very good,original finish,some wear to arms and original costume. Comments: French,circa 1840. Value Points: the early model poupee has beautiful face with fine definition around the mouth,daintily-shaped double chin,and is wearing her original tacked-on silk and velvet gown and slippers.
