12" (30 cm.) Papier-mache shoulder head with
modeled bosom and slender oval face and elongated
throat,brown sculpted hair arranged in so-called
Grecian Knot style with a painted decorative comb
at the front,soft ringlet curls in front of each
ear,and coral beads suspended from the back
knot,with painted blue eyes,black upper
eyeliner,single-stroke brows,aquiline nose,closed
mouth with accent center line,slender kid body
with wooden lower limbs,painted flat blue
shoes,antique gown and undergarments. Condition:
generally excellent,retouch at bottom edge of back
shoulder plate. Comments: Germany,circa 1820.
Value Points: rare model with exquisitely styled
and painted hair.
